Lorenzo Milani, Chief Executive President

Lorenzo is Chief Executive President and member of directors of the Anna Milani Foundation. Lorenzo is Anna’s husband, and he had the privilege to share nine years of his life with her. Anna was the highest ray of sunshine in his life, and he decided to open a foundation under her name to keep alive the legacy of such an extraordinary human being.

Lorenzo is Associate Professor at the Department of Geology at the University of Pretoria. He received his MSc and PhD in Geology from the University of Ferrara (Italy). He also holds an MSc in Music from the Music School of Rovigo (Italy).

Musa Doctor Manzi, Vice President

Musa is founder of the ‘Musa Manzi Foundation’ (https://www.drmusamanzifoundation.org/), which supports and empowers young people from underprivileged backgrounds through education, mentorship and inspiration, enabling them to become tomorrow’s leaders.
Musa is Associate Professor in Geophysics at the University of the Witwatersrand, director of the Wits Seismic Research Center, and visiting professor at the Politecnico di Torino (Italy) and Uppsala University (Sweden). He holds an MSc and a PhD in Geophysics (Wits University).

Zakheke Nkosi, Chief Strategy and Impact  Officer

Zakhele is co-founder, COO and a Director of the NPO ‘Bridging Gaps SA’ (www.bridginggapsev.com). In addition, he has extensive experience facilitating sessions focusing on racism, privilege and intersectionality. He works as lecturer and researcher at the University of Pretoria, where he graduated with a Master of Science in Geology, and is currently completing his PhD at the University of Johannesburg.

Cynthia Motshabi, Chief Legal Officer for South Africa

Cynthia is an attorney with over 15 years of practice. She was admitted at the Bloemfontein High Court, and appointed as a Magistrate for three years. Currently she operates her practice under ‘CK Motshabi Attorneys’. She got her Bachelor of Law degree at the University of South Africa (UNISA).

Aldo Guarnieri, Chief Legal Officer for Italy

Aldo is a lawyer with more than 30 years of experience. His firm ‘Studio Legale Avv. Aldo Guarnieri’ is based in Rovigo (Italy). He holds a degree in Law at the University of Ferrara (Italy).

Francesca Milani, Chief External Affairs Officer

Francesca is a school teacher and a professional viola player. She holds an MSc in Viola and an MSc in Chamber Music from the Music Schools of Ferrara and Rovigo (Italy).

The foundation has been registered in Pretoria as NPC (non-profit company) by the ‘Companies and Intellectual Property Commission’ on the 24th June 2024, with the name of ‘Anna Milani Foundation’ (registration no. 2024/150129/08). All the relevant documentation is available on request.
